My days are usually uneventful, but today was not. This morning I went to my first MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meeting. (Thank you Amber, Dawn, and Leslie for telling me about it.) I was excited to get out and meet some new people. I was also praying that Hannah would stay and enjoy herself in childcare. When I dropped her off, she seemed willing to go play and wanted to see the other kids. About 30 minutes later someone comes into the room looking for Hannah Victor's mother. I went to get her and she was not happy. I brought her back into the meeting with me and she did pretty well. I guess she still has separation anxiety.
When we got home, I noticed my cat, Slate, chasing something. It was a tiny frog. I called Brian because I wasn't about to catch the frog myself. He was at work and told me to open the back door and chase the frog out. I told him I wasn't going to do that, I'd rather go to a neighbor's house and look like an idiot. So that's what I did. I went across the street to our neighbor's, Jay and Kelly, who we don't know very well. Jay wasn't home, but Kelly said that she would come over and catch the frog. She came over with her two kids, one of them carrying a bug catcher, and we searched for the frog. It was nowhere to be found. I don't know if the cat ate it, but I hope I don't find it tonight while I'm sleeping. Kelly told me to call her if I see the frog again.
After that whole event, I had some phone calls to make. I was also expecting someone coming to our house to check on some warranty work. While I'm on the phone dealing with insurance, the doorbell rings, and Hannah wakes up from her nap. It was pretty chaotic.
The rest of the day has been pretty calm. We'll see if that frog shows up again though.
