Emergency room
On Wednesday Hannah fell out of her stroller onto the sidewalk as we were leaving Target. It was completely my fault. I'll blame it on the mommy brain that I sometimes have. She doesn't really like to be in her stroller for long periods of time unless we're walking outside. Most of the time we were shopping I was holding her while pushing the stroller, but as we were leaving the store, I put her back in. I didn't strap her in because we were going a short distance, it was raining, and I was more concerned with her not getting wet. I pulled open the canopy part of the stroller to cover her, so I didn't see her fall out. It was awful! She wasn't bleeding, but of course she was crying. I was crying. A lady helped me walk to the car. I sat with her in the car for awhile kind of in shock. I started driving toward her pediatrician's office, but I stopped in a parking lot to call before I got all of the way there. I spoke with a nurse who said I needed to go the emergency room. Once we arrived, I had to fill out paperwork and I was shaking the entire time I was trying to fill it out. The nurse checked her and said that she looked fine. She felt that she should get a CT scan of her head just to rule out anything. Three and a half hours later we were seen by a doctor who confirmed that she was fine and didn't need the CT scan. Hannah has a bruise on her forehead and some cuts on her face. I'm so thankful that nothing major was wrong and I will always strap her in from now on!
